About how the idea came about, who the event is intended for, and what visitors can expect, we spoke with Branka Patić Macan, representative of the main organizer of this unique event.
1. How did the idea for organizing the Logistics Market Conference & Expo come about?
The idea matured over years of working in the industry, listening to what clients really want and what they are missing. Through numerous conversations, meetings, and projects, it became clear that there was a need for an event that goes beyond classic conference formats – an event that provides a real, tangible insight into modern logistics solutions and technologies. The renovated Sava Center and its representative Atrium space allowed us to bring this idea to life – to shape a 1,000-square-meter space where logistics is not just presented but experienced. And since we have also upgraded the conference part of the event in terms of format, topics, and speakers, I must say this will be a unique experience for all participants.
2. Who do you expect at the event, and why is it important to attend the Logistics Market Conference & Expo?
I expect visitors from a wide range of sectors – manufacturing and retail companies, e-commerce, FMCG, automotive, pharmaceutical, and many other industries, both domestic and regional companies that recognize the importance of investing in logistics and want to improve it. This is a unique opportunity for managers to see firsthand how specific solutions work – to step into a simulation of an automated warehouse, talk to experts, and learn directly about the benefits they can expect for their business. We are creating an event that doesn’t just educate in theory but also through practice.
3. What is the concept of the event’s conference program?
In addition to the exhibition area, we are preparing a conference program, but with a focus on real, applicable stories from practice. The emphasis is on panels and case studies that showcase successful system implementations – from warehouse and transport digitalization to challenges in process optimization. We carefully select topics that are not “copy-paste,” but that address the real problems logisticians face every day. As for the format – panels dominate, because years in this business have shown that participants are tired of marketing-driven lectures that largely prevail at industry events. We want visitors to leave with concrete ideas and insights they can apply immediately.
4. What sets the Logistics Market Conference & Expo apart from other logistics events in the region?
The biggest difference is that this event blurs the line between a conference and a trade fair. We are bringing to Belgrade a new format that combines knowledge, technology, and practice in a unique space. Instead of just hearing about solutions – here you can see them, “touch” them, and learn on the spot how they work.
We are also focusing on a different conference format, with networking (scheduled B2B meetings) and direct contact between users and solution providers at the forefront – because concrete projects and collaborations are born out of such conversations.
5. How do you see the future of this event?
The Logistics Market Conference & Expo is already this year taking an important place on the logistics map of the region – given that a large number of companies have shown interest, both those that are already familiar with the local market and those that have never before presented themselves to the local audience. It is completely clear that it is becoming a key gathering point for the logistics community in the region – a place where knowledge is exchanged, innovations are presented, and partnerships are built.
Belgrade has the potential to become a logistics hub, and we want to give it the platform it deserves. We started strong, and with each edition, we will realize this event on even more square meters, with more exhibitors, eminent speakers, without compromise on quality, and by bringing innovations and concrete solutions to this part of Europe.
